Awana
Our church offers an AWANA program for children ages 3 through 8th grade,
and starts each Wednesday evening at 6:15 p.m. in our Family Life Center.
The term 'AWANA' stands for "Approved Workers Are Not Ashamed," and is a
reference to the Bible verse which teaches us to "Be diligent to present
yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling
accurately the word of truth." (II Timothy 2:15)
This childrens' ministry emphasizes scripture memorization and a clear understanding
of the Gospel message, presented in a fast-paced and fun-filled format.
Our AWANA Commander, Matthew Matlock, is committed to developing the very
best ministry possible, and he has enlisted some of our best workers to
serve in this program. Any child ages 3 through 8th grade is welcome to
attend, and is encouraged to bring friends along, too! Parents are welcome
to stay and watch, or even help if they would like.

Worship
For Kids 3 years old

gym during Sunday morning worship services. Children may be dropped off and picked up there. During the
program, children will participate in a worship service designed specifically
for them. These services will use songs, Bible teaching (through
story-telling, skits, crafts, and puppets) and discussion about real life
application to introduce children to the concept of worship, to encourage them to
apply the Bible to their lives, and to illustrate what it means to have a
relationship with Christ.
